Heads of Government & Grant English Schools.
Information is required (a) as to what extent Music
(including Singing), Art and Crafts and Handwork in any form,
are now being taught in local schools, and (b) what staff is
available for the extension of such teaching.
I should be obliged therefore if you would furnish
me with replies to the following at your early convenience:
1. Music (including Singing)..
(a) What form of this subject is being taught in
your school ?
(b) To what classes is such teaching given ?
(c) For how many hours weekly is such teaching
given to each class ?
2. Art (e.g. Chinese or English Drawing, Painting, Design
etc.)
(a) What form of this subject is being taught in
your school ?
(b) To what classes is such teaching given ?
(c) For how many hours weekly is such teaching
given to each class ?
3. Handwork & Crafts (e.g. modelling, book-binding, paper-
work, woodwork, needlework, etc.)
(a) What craft or what form of handwork is being
taught in your school ?
(b) To what classes is such teaching given ?
(c) For how many hours weekly is such teaching given
to each class ?
